Bout of Books Read-A-Thon 11: Goals and TBR

This Bout of Books came at a perfect time for me since I recently came back from a vacation to Niagara Falls, Ontario and right before I left, I received an omnibus to read and review from one of my favourite authors. While on my vacation I read 0 pages, I’ve been back for a little over 2 weeks and I’ve read about… 60ish pages! I need an extra push to read this because, I’m super nervous since It’s my first time reading a book to review for an author and I can’t seem to find the will to read. It is a 3 book and 2 novella omnibus (of which I’ve only  read 1 novella so far) so I really want to get through a bunch of it before the end of Bout of Books. I also bought the 4th book “Ever Wrath” which I’m adding to my list, I really hope I can get through them all or most of them at least!

I Will Devote to Reading…

The story is still the same as it was for the last Bout of Books and that is; I mainly read at night before going to sleep… I’ve tried SO hard to read during the day and I’ve succeeded a couple of times but usually fail miserably otherwise. I’m going to attempt the same thing as before and that is to force myself to read a bit through the day and reach 50-100 pages every day/night, no matter what.
  • Read at least 1 hour or 50-100 pages per day.
  • Read the whole omnibus (3 books, 1 novella) and the 4th book in the series.
  • To read 667-883 pages throughout the week.
  • Write 4-5 reviews during the week.
  • Participate in at least 2 Twitter chats.
  • Participate in 1-2 daily challenges.

About The Dark Reading Room

I LOVE reading and I have hundreds of awesome books on my bookshelf. I started blogging so I could connect with like-minded people and share my thoughts on what I read with others. I’m pretty open minded when it comes to reading, I enjoy reading anything like; true crime, biographies and so on but my favourite genre is YA paranormal books. Non-book related things: I’m a metalhead, I love going to concerts, some of my favourite TV shows are Supernatural, True Blood, Walking Dead, Vampire Diaries, Firefly... I’m a hardcore gamer and play games like COD, Halo, Gears of War, Borderlands, Final Fantasy, The Last of Us, Dead Rising and much more!

  1. Ooh man I can’t wait to do this!! You have no idea how excited I am! I did really well in the last one and hope to do even better this time around! And it started at a perfect time because I work nights all next week! Now do I keep reading the 500 monster ‘take me on’ or put that down and read antigoddess or something totally different? AHHH! I hate decisions!

    • Haha, Yay, I’m super excited too! Maybe we could do some reading sprints together for fun! That’s awesome, I hope you do better, it’s always fun to set good goals. Ha, lucky you, I just started full time school on Monday so, it’s 10 PM bed time for me every day :(. Oh wow, 500 pages?! That’s a lot! Lol Antigoddess!!! It would probably be a relief for you to finish it already.

  2. I read at night too – I work during the day so I don’t have time – but like you, sometimes I can’t really focus. Hopefully we’ll both be able to stick to our goals next week!

Good luck and happy reading 🙂
Here’s what I’ll be reading next week

    • Nice, that makes sense, it’s hard to read during the day if you’re working/busy. Though, even if I found the time and could focus, I probably wouldn’t read during the day because I really enjoy reading at night. For sure, always hope for the best! Thanks, you too and thanks for stopping by 🙂

  3. This reads are all new to me, so I hope you enjoy the series! Good luck, Jo!

  4. Good luck with your readathon goal-that’s a rather large book 😀

  5. Great goals! Good luck and have fun!

  6. I don’t recognize any of those but good luck on meeting your goals!
